An Insight Into Indonesian

Indonesia is an archipelago country with over more than 17.000 islands which consist of 5 big islands. Spanning over 3,254 km’s from Sabang to Merauke, making it diverse in culture & beliefs. The diversity also expands into animalia kingdom, there’s big difference between the native species between the eastern and western part of Indonesia. It is known that Wallace Line was the cause of this differences, the animals just couldn’t / wouldn’t cross this line. Such as komodo dragon, various marsupials like wallabies and cuscus, and unique primate species like the tarsier and Celebes crested macaque are some example that thrive over the Eastern part of Indonesia.

The country itself stands on the Ring of Fire, which makes up to 130 active volcanoes and 27.886 listed mountains including the highest Puncak Jaya Peak (16,024 ft tall, above sea level).
